Introduction
Cornelius Concepts was founded in 1990 by David Cornelius, a consultant servicing the computing needs of small businesses. In those days, many people were just learning about computers and technical people sometimes had a difficult time relating with those who did not speak bits and bytes.
David was able to bridge the gap by talking with business owners on their level and understanding what to do to enable their computer systems to work for them. Sometimes this involved establishing a database or spreadsheet, sometimes organizing files, other times just hooking up a printer to be used by multiple workstations.
Web Site Hosting
With the ever growing interest and need in having a presence on the internet and even hosting applications and sharing documents on web sites, David has added web hosting and maintenance to his skill set. He built his first site by hand in HTML in 1996 and gradually moved to scripting with PHP and JavaScript.
In 2005, he was introduced to the rapidly growing phenomenon of Content Management Systems and fell in love with Drupal, a major player in this arena. These systems allow the setup and configuration of a complete web site in less than an hour and provide tools for business owners and non-technical people to easily add information, marketing material, blogs, pictures, documents, forums, and more.
We meet with you personally (where possible) to get a clear picture of your needs, to learn about your business, and to make suggestions about your online presence. We let you be in charge of the design, but work with you on understanding ramifications of certain layout or functionality decisions.
